How the pricing works

What counts as a Studio User?

A Studio User is a user with edit or approval permissions. Governance users and organization owners (admins) count as Studio Users too. Marketplace Users, who browse the marketplace and request access to data products, are free and unlimited on every plan. Only Studio Users count towards billing.

What does the base fee include?

Every paid plan is an annual base fee. Team costs € 20,000 per year and includes 10 Studio Users and one environment. Business costs € 75,000 per year and includes 25 Studio Users and two environments. Enterprise costs € 200,000 per year and includes 50 Studio Users, three environments, and one onsite workshop day. Every paid plan includes support and a kick-off workshop; Community (self-hosted) and Starter (Cloud) are free. The fee is the same whether or not you use all of the included Studio Users, so pick the plan whose features you need rather than the one that matches your headcount.

What do additional Studio Users cost?

€ 99 per Studio User per month, billed annually, on every paid plan. Studio Users are purchased in increments of 5. The licence fee stops rising at 250 Studio Users, so beyond that point Studio Users are unlimited whichever plan you are on.

Does self-hosting cost more or less?

The licence fee is identical for both deployment options, and so is what you get for it. The difference is where it runs and who operates it. For the initial setup of a self-hosted deployment we offer installation and onboarding support as professional services.

How many environments do I get?

An environment is one deployment with a single organization. One deployment with two organizations counts as two environments and needs two environment licences. Team includes one environment, Business two, and Enterprise three. A second environment lets schema and contract changes be validated before they reach production. On every paid plan you can add further environments for € 30,000 per environment per year.

What is a Dedicated Deployment?

A single-tenant Cloud instance with a custom domain, fully isolated from other customers, on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Observability and email sending still run on our shared services. It is an add-on for the Enterprise plan on Cloud at € 30,000 per year.

What support is included?

Team and Business include standard support from our experts, Enterprise premium support with a guaranteed 1-business-day SLA and a dedicated customer success engineer. The free plans come without support. Support for the open-source Data Contract CLI is available on every plan, including the free ones, for € 30,000 per year.

What do workshops and professional services cost?

Every paid plan includes a kick-off workshop. Enterprise also includes one onsite day; further onsite days are € 3,000 each, and travel expenses are billed on top. Professional services such as individual customization and integration support are € 180 per hour. These are one-time costs.

Is there a discount for committing longer?

Yes. A two-year commitment takes 5 % off the recurring fee and a three-year commitment takes 10 %, on the licence and on any annual add-ons. One-time costs such as onsite workshops and professional services are not discounted.

Are the prices net?

Yes. All prices are net list prices, excluding VAT. Recurring fees are billed annually in advance. USD prices for add-ons and services are converted from the EUR list price.

How do I get a quote?

Use "Download quote now" to download a PDF quote for your configuration; we also email it to you. The quote is non-binding and its prices are valid for 30 days.
